Stephen Kimberlin

Stephen has more than 15 years of public accounting and tax experience. He works directly with privately held and public companies, including clients in the private equity and commercial products industries. Stephen serves as the engagement executive on federal and state income tax compliance and planning engagements. He also works directly with assurance teams to prepare and audit ASC 740 calculations and disclosures.  Stephen develops strategies with clients to leverage tax accounting methods, tax credits, and other opportunities to optimize tax positions and minimize liabilities.

He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA), and VSCPA Tax Advisory Committee. He is former treasurer of Commonwealth Community Trust and board member of Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens. He was honored as a VSCPA Top 5 Under 35.

Stephen is a graduate of College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia, with a B.B.A. degree, and a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, with an M.Acc. degree.
